Intervals in the garage

I am definitely much better at the exercise related challenges than the eating ones.  I worked hard and got the 6 one hour workouts done this week.  I cannot believe how much faster my running is after just a couple of weeks (I am still slow by most standards).  One of the best fitness moves I have ever made was buying a crappy $225 Craigslist treadmill that I keep in the garage.  It isn't fancy but it runs.  When I don't have anyone to watch kids or it is already dark outside I can still run.  I have been doing a lot of interval workouts which keeps things interesting.  I have a Pinterest board full of different interval workouts and some are definitely harder than others.  I can easily burn over 400 calories in about 40 minutes now.  I remember when I started 3 years ago (and 2 babies ago) that I was happy if I could at least get to 250 calories.  Sometimes progress doesn't come on the scale, but it is exciting to see myself run faster than I ever have before!
