So I've been thinking a lot about doing the right things for the right reasons. You can relate this topic (and normally I do think of it in this way) to righteous living. However over the last day or two I've started thinking about it in the context of healthy living. Am I eating healthfully and working out JUST to get thin? Is getting the pounds off the ONLY reason I want a healthy lifestyle?? We could chat about this topic all day....because OF COURSE I want a thin body! OF COURSE I want to shed some of these unwanted flabby pounds!!! But at the end of the day, week, month, year....or chapter of my life....what I REALLY want is a healthy outlook on life, to be an example of healthy living to my children, to have a healthy heart and mind. I want to be strong in a lot of aspects of life. I do not want to be obsessed with a number on a scale and allow it to control how I feel about myself. Anyway. Something to think about. Are YOU doing the right things for the right reasons?
