Mom, I'm happy!
Whenever I try to put my two year old down for a nap he immediately says "I'm not tired, I'm happy!" Yeah right dude, you still need a nap. But, I have noticed for me, that getting enough sleep and exercise definitely increases my happiness. After doing an hour workout on the treadmill I seriously feel like a million bucks and all the little stresses and worries seem much smaller. Yay endorphins. It is worth the sacrifice of my free time to exercise and feel good rather than my old standby of zoning out on the couch in front of the tv after the kids have gone to bed. This has been a big lifestyle change for me, but I feel like it is paying off in a lot of ways!
