Not really. Ha ha. I already forgot to blog last week. But it's a new week and I am blogging! I have done several challenges with Stephanie and I occasionally beat myself up over falling out of the good habits I develop when I am on them. When I do that I look at the big picture. When I was a teenager or a college kid I almost never exercised. I hated doing stuff that even involved exercising. Now, during what I consider a "bad week," I exercise at least once or twice during that week for an hour at a time. That would have never happened ten years ago. Now I am a runner! I cycle! I lift weights! I go on walks, and not just to burn calories! I hike! I went cross country skiing for fun!
Slowly but surely, being fit and eating healthy have become integral parts of my life that I have come to enjoy. So, it's a new week, and I am going to celebrate the progress I have made over the last decade and not worry about how much I ate at Christmas!
You're becoming your mother...and that's a good thing!
ReplyDeleteI remember cross country skiing with you as a teenager, I think we spent more time on the ground!
