Hello! Here I am!

Hello everyone! My name is Jessica and my boss-lady, Artesia, got me into this fitness challenge that I am super excited about! I've struggled for a long time to make a healthy weight, since high school- at least! Since I've started my own family, including my two beautiful daughters Esme (3.5) and Phoebe (1.5) , I've felt a real tug to get healthy. I want to be around as long as I can for them and be a great role model that they can look up to. I've been working hard on a lifestyle change since February and since then I've lost somewhere between 20&25 lbs... Official weigh in is tomorrow- I will let you know!

My goal for this challenge is to keep my 2-3lb/ week loss going strong. I hit a minor platuea the last couple weeks and I think I am out of it and want to keep rolling! This week my goal has been to hit 10,000 steps daily according to my JawboneUP fitness tracker. I've been doing so with a routine of walking at lunches, Zumba or other fitness classes, and going to the Planet Fitness by my house. My favorite is Zumba, though! I also try to do a little Pilates before bed every night. Lastly, I hope gardening counts as exercise because as the weather warms up I will be burning a lot of daylight (and calories?!) doing that!

  1. Congratulations on your success so far! 25 pounds is amazing! I bet you feel great! I also love zumba!
    I will check out your fitstagram, hopefully you will share some of what has been working for you!
